Work Hard But Never Burn Yourself Out!

Are you one of those people who work so hard?
Are you one of those people who are self-motivated and always trying to be the hardest worker in the room?
If the answer is yes, then you might need to read the below.
1)Keep yourself motivated
We are humans and we are usually driven by two kinds of motivation.
1.1)Desire
A lot of people in the world are motivated by goals they want to achieve. It can be a promotion, wealth, success, praise or anything else.
Regardless of what kind of goal did you set to yourself, you will find yourself very motivate and working so hard to hit your goal and prove yourself either to yourself or to people.
Note: if you don’t have one, you must define one to yourself and keep reminding yourself of it.
1.2)Fear
A lot of people also go through this point when they are working so hard and killing themselves because they are afraid of something. It can be the fear of failing and going through tough times and embarrassment in front of your family, co-workers or your friends. It also can be the fear of being average and being seen like all the others around you.
Regardless of what you are afraid of, you will find yourself motivated and working so hard to prove yourself and staying away from that fear.
Note: if you don’t have one, you must define one to yourself and keep reminding yourself of it.
I believe that it is very healthy to have both kinds of motivation in your life to become a machine. When you are at that happy moment, you will not be in a mindset that makes you remember your fears, then you will be having your desires to drive you and make you push yourself more and more. When you are at that sad moment that might make you not able to work to achieve your desires, then you should remember your fears and what can happen if you failed.
2)Don’t burn out
It is great to work very hard on yourself and keep investing in it but remember that we are like vehicles. Vehicles are not made to work forever without maintenance. They need to have their oil changed from time to time. They need to some off time to avoid overheating. Your mind, eyes, the body also needs some time off to chill, relax and calm down to be able to give you the performance that you are expecting. Working so hard 24/7 might make you end up with headaches, migraine or physical injuries. I personally have been through this before. Went through a very intense period of time in my life and I didn’t consider any rest for my mind or my body, so I ended up in a hospital suffering from a severe migraine.
You have to give yourself some time to watch funny movies, shows, go to the beach or do anything fun to switch off from everything and get your mind refreshed.
- Try to find a TV series that matches your interest and watch it daily for 30-45 min. Watching TV series make you forget about your life, work, stress and start living in another world with the series events.
- If you are a technical person, try to find an arty or musical hobby and do it once or twice a week. It is good to give your left brain some time off and work on the right brain.
- Exercise because exercise makes your body produce a special hormone called endorphin, which helps massively in regulating your stress level and makes you happy.
Conclusion
Work hard, but play hard as well!
